Annapurna Community Trek
The Annapurna Community Trek offers a perfect introduction to Himalayan trekking for those seeking authentic cultural experiences and stunning mountain views without the crowds. This 5-day journey follows quiet trails through the foothills of the Annapurna range, staying in community homestays where local families welcome you into their homes, share home-cooked meals, and offer genuine insight into village life.
Unlike the busy Annapurna Circuit or Base Camp routes, these trails pass through peaceful villages of the Gurung and Magar communities, where traditional farming practices continue much as they have for centuries. Stone houses sit amid terraced fields of rice, millet, and mustard, while the snow peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare form an ever-present backdrop.
The highlight is Mohare Danda (3,300m), a ridge-top viewpoint that offers one of the finest panoramas in the Annapurna region. From here, the entire Himalayan range stretches before you, from Dhaulagiri in the west to Manaslu in the east. The trek supports sustainable tourism and directly benefits the communities you visit.
